Welcome to the website of the Mid Surrey Dementia Care Trust. This website aims to provide you with information about what we do and how we do it so that you can get the support you or a loved one might need. There are quite a few pages of information and you can use the navigation bar at the top of this page to look around. However, if your short of time or want answers quick then we have answered some of the questions you might have below. If you read this and still want to know more then please either contact us using the link at the top of this page or call the Club Manager (Pauline Simmons) on 07913707704.

How can we help you?

The Mid Surrey Dementia Care Trust manage and run The Conservatory Club at The Fairfield Day Centre in Leatherhead. This is a facilitated self-help club, which is open from 10.00am to 3.00pm Monday to Friday. Members join the Club for one or two days per week.

What are the aims of The Conservatory Club?

  1. 1.To help people with memory difficulties to retain their communication and social skills.

  2. 2.To provide relief to carers from the demanding responsibilities of caring.

What support is available as a member?

We work closely with the Outreach Service of the Alzheimer’s Society, which, with us, will assess those with memory difficulties to ensure that they will benefit from the club. The Society also provides other support to their carers and families.

How much does it cost?

Club Members pay £17 per day which covers the costs of a midday meal and other incidentals. This includes the annual membership fee to the Fairfield Centre where subsidised optional hairdressing, chiropody and shopping is provided. Financial help is available to pay the £17 daily fee.

How do I find out more?
