The Club is Nominated for the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service
We feel very honoured that, during his year in office as Chairman of Mole Valley District Council, Simon Ling nominated Mid Surrey Dementia Care Trust/The Conservatory Club for the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service. We are delighted to say that the Club has been shortlisted as one of the 2019 nominees.
On February 7th a number of trustees and Club volunteers joined the High Sheriff of Surrey, Jim Glover, and other guests at reception given for Surrey’s nominees by the Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey, Michael More-Molyneux DL.
The final decision on who is to receive the Award lies with the Cabinet Office in Whitehall. The decision will be made in March, although it will not be made public until late June/early July this year. We’ll keep you posted but please keep your fingers crossed for us!
