Shortlisted for the 2019 Queen's Award for Voluntary Service
We feel very honoured that, during his year in office as Chairman of Mole Valley District Council, Simon Ling nominated Mid Surrey Dementia Care Trust/The Conservatory Club for the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service and we were delighted that the Club reached the shortlist of the 2019 nominees.
On February 7th, a number of trustees and Club volunteers joined the High Sheriff of Surrey, Jim Glover, and other guests at a reception given by the Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey, Michael More-Molyneux DL, for Surrey’s short listed nominees.
Sadly, our nomination was not ultimately successful but we feel that just by reaching the shortlist, our volunteers received a very high accolade, in itself a well-deserved recognition of their work.
